"I had been a customer for 20 YEARS. Had ONE claim the entire time I was with them. ALWAYS paid on time and in full. I moved recently and decided to switch to Geico to save money. Called in late September/early October 2025 and told them I was starting my new policy in November 2025 and that October would be my last month with them. I was told they would go ahead and discontinue my policy with them. Come to find out they CONTINUED BILLING ME FOR FOUR MONTHS! I have been trying to resolve this issue for NINE MONTHS with absolutely ZERO success! I escalated to the underwriting department since I was CLEARLY getting nowhere with the office. The letter I received states “our records indicate we first received notification requesting cancellation of your policy on February 18, 2026. The request sent via the agent’s office with a cancellation request requested date of November 1, 2025.” Their subpar communication and documentation has resulted in a monetary loss of over $1300 for me. I’m absolutely FURIOUS at this point, and the way this has been handled is an embarrassment to Statefarm as a company…"
